with a quay 1,400 feet in length, having a depth of water
of 37 feet below Eông Keng Ordnance Datum (1.«. low water
ordinary spring tides) or 36 feet below extreme low water
level. This depth, for the reasons sårendy given, will in
our opinion be mply sufficient for all purposes.

Jetty Ho. 2 will be provided on its western
side with a deep water quay 1,200 feet in length, and en
its eastern side with a quay for junks of the same length.
The ship basin provided between the deep water quays of the
Jetties Nos. 1 and 2 will be dredged to a depth the same

low water level. This dredging will be continued seaward
until it reaches the 36 feet contour line as shown on the
Drawings.

In order to retain the filling of the reclamation
the quay wall of the Junk Basin on the east side of Jetty
No. 2 will be returned at its inner and as shewn for a
length of 143 feet, forming the width of the basin. It
will be notised that, at the inner end of each of the above
Junk Basins a slight amount of dredging will be necessary
in order to give the required depth. From the eastern side
of the Junk Basin adjoining Jetty Re. 2 and extending
nertiward in a direction parallel with that Jetty a rubble
mound will require to be tipped to retain and form the
eastern boundary of the reclamation coloured red, pending
the carrying out of the portion seloured yellow.
